Like most Workstations, the Dell Precision M6800 is ISV (Independent Software Vendor) certified , and thus has optimization worked on the main computer-aided creation software . We can cite in particular professional applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Maya or even CATIA.
To meet these requirements, the Dell Precision M6800 is equipped with a high-performance configuration with an Intel Core i5 4200M, 8GB of RAM, AMD Radeon HD 8950 (3GB GDDR5) and a storage drive: 500GB hard drive.
The set is very versatile, it can easily fulfill daily tasks such as office automation or multimedia, but also venture into photo editing, light gaming or other demanding professional uses.
Premium comfort
Intended for users who spend many consecutive hours on their computer, the Dell Precision M6800 has everything in place to pamper its users. In particular, we find an excellent 17.3-inch Full-HD (1920x1080) screen with striking rendering.
The Workstation is also extremely well equipped in terms of connectivity. In addition to the classic VGA and USB 3.0 ports, we find a Smart Card / express Card reader, eSATA, HDMI, Display Port... all expandable thanks to a slot intended for docking stations.
Extreme scalability
Due to its imposing chassis, the M6800 has multiple expansion ports, particularly on the storage side. It is in fact capable of supporting no less than 3 storage disks (4 by sacrificing the DVD burner for HDD support). To do this, it has two 2.5'' bays and an mSATA port. Note the RAID 0 / RAID 1 compatibility with two disks and RAID 5
