GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE X3D ATX Motherboard

The GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE X3D is an ATX motherboard built around the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors, DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, Wi-Fi 7, USB4 connectivity and 5GbE wired networking.

AMD AM5 Platform

Designed for compatible AMD Ryzen processors, the motherboard provides a DDR5 dual-channel memory architecture with four DIMM slots and support for up to 256GB of system memory. Supported memory speeds reach 8800 MT/s with overclocking, depending on the processor and memory configuration.

PCIe 5.0 and M.2 Storage

The board includes a full-length PCIe expansion slot and four M.2 connectors for compatible NVMe SSDs. Two M.2 connectors support PCIe 5.0 with supported processors, while two chipset-connected M.2 connectors support PCIe 4.0. Two SATA 6Gb/s connectors provide additional storage options.

Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE Networking

Wireless connectivity is provided by the Qualcomm QCNCM865 module with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The Realtek 5GbE LAN controller supports wired network speeds of up to 5Gbps with compatible networking equipment.

USB4 and Display Connectivity

Two rear USB4 Type-C ports support data connectivity and DisplayPort video output. Additional rear connections include USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and optical S/PDIF audio output. Video capabilities depend on the installed processor and supported graphics features.

Audio, Cooling and System Control

The Realtek ALC1220 audio codec supports high-definition multichannel audio. Dedicated CPU, system fan and water-pump headers support compatible cooling setups, while addressable RGB Gen2 and RGB LED headers allow supported lighting accessories to be connected.

BIOS and Utilities

Features include Q-Flash, Q-Flash Plus, GIGABYTE Control Center, Smart Backup and hardware monitoring for supported voltage, temperature, fan speed and cooling functions.
